They “dumbed into” (or perhaps he said “lucked into”) the right alignment. He said “we knew they were going to run so we brought the safeties in closer and and tightened the LBs spacing (not so wide) and it helped us stop them. “We just need to figure that out sooner.”
Listening to him after he’s had time to watch film, I don’t have any confidence he understands how to read the game and how to coordinate the defensive strategy, and certainly not how to make adjustments based on what the opponent is doing. He commented that USF had only shown the 12 personnel group 9 times all season, so we didn’t prep much for that. The. They ran that set all the time and he said we didn’t adjust for it. Weird

The offense missed 2 4th quarter FGs and had 4th qtr turnovers on downs in scoring range the last two weeks

If he actually publicly called out the O, he needs to be fired. Public dissent like that in the ranks is a cancer.

He should have called out the special teams too, with the missed FG, fumbled punt snap and atrocious kick coverage
