As far as the upbeat/constant positive attitude...
That's generally a good way to look at things. But from a PR perspective, it would be helpful for me if he show a little frustration sometimes! It's annoying for me to hear him say "Cougar Nation is thriving!" when in reality it's not. Cougar Nation is frustrated, so symphatize with us for once! Say something like "Cougar fans, I understand this season has been frustrating. Here are some things I am working on to improve the situation." or just say ANYTHING AT ALL! Show us some signs of life. Give us a vision that we can look to for the future instead of just wondering "will things ever get better? Do we have a goal? If independence isn't sustainable, then what is our goal for 10 years down the road?"
