You make this argument frequently. How many successful college football teams are regularly making pass attempts over 20 yards? Utah is 10th in the nation in yards per pass attempt. Yes, the WR have YAC. But that plays into every single team on the list. And it is a bonus for hitting open receivers not just the QB's first or second read. Tyler is also 3rd in the country in passing completion percentage. While Utah does not lead the nation in passing yards per game, it also should be noted that Tyler has only played two complete games this year. BYU - very little passing was needed, and USC - a game in which he was the best player on the Utah offense.
