People look at this mythical auto-bid to a NY6 or playoff game as a reason to crawl back to the MWC or some other G5 conference. Go look at BYU's final w/l records and final ranking since 1984. There's one year (1996) in the past 35 years where we ended with a high enough ranking that it would have mattered. Do you accept and take on 35 years of crappy schedules for one bowl game in one year?
