I don’t follow his sport nearly like most of the others on your list, but what he did holds up for any era of the game and until something drastic changes with his sport, it could be said he could have competed and dominated in any era regardless of advancements in training or performance enhancing drugs. There is no doubt he didn’t use PEDs while most others on this list you can’t say that, and there is a slim chance anyone in the future will take his place in his sport while the others on the list will surely slide eventually as athletes improve and rules change.
