I just filled the propane tank last week. I intentionally didn’t add gasoline

Because I don’t plan to use the generator consistently (only in emergency situations) and long term storage works much better with propane than gas, which can gum up the carburetor etc.

The hose and regulator were brand new so I didn’t suspect them.

I still don’t know what to think.
