One of my all-time favorites was to South Africa and we did a 5 day Safari and then spent a few days driving along the southern coast of South Africa which is just insanely beautiful along the ocean. It was a great trip and it was a mixture of outdoors and wildlife followed by places with great meals and nice hotels so it was really cool mixture of things all wrapped up into around 10 days.
Somebody above suggested Spain. We did a road trip from southern Spain up through Portugal along the coast which had a nice mixture of beaches culture, good food, nice warm weather and it was easy driving. I think you'd make some wonderful memories there if you made that your choice. Of course Spain and Portugal are beautiful...
Somebody also suggested Italy above which I always think is a good choice. For instance, something like flying into Florence and spending a day or two there, then into Tuscany, Venice, and then up into Slovenia which is very underrated and then down into Croatia. If you had 10 days there that's a busy trip but awesome. Or 10 days in Italy split between Tuscany, Florence, Siena and the Cinque terre is pretty awesome. We really enjoy Italy but this is a trip that, while awesome, is likely to also involve a ton of other tourists unlike the two vacations above that I referenced. Unfortunately we find Italy getting so touristy that it's becoming less attractive unless you can go in off season....
