It is somewhat similar to BSU's approach to attracting California talent for their skill positions. Talented but somewhat underdeveloped athletes that get rejected by larger schools. Either kids that don't fit into these larger programs for some obvious reason, or diamonds in the rough who have D1 potential but haven't yet refined that talent. These kids come to Boise with a chip on their shoulder but then buy into the program 100%, are impacted by the winning culture at BSU, and then work their butts off to prove to the world that the belong. The result has been a pretty steady stream of NFL players and an abnormally high NCAA winning percentage.
