I have ABC, FOX, CBS, and NBC. I have ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNNews, FS1, CBSSports, NBCSports, and even ESPN3 and ESPN+. I have the PAC 12 Network, the SEC Network and the Big Ten Network. I already pay for and can pretty much watch any college football game that I want....except for BYU v. UMass on FloSports this weekend.
I can afford the $30 to watch the game, but I am boycotting. This is an extremely lame situtation and UMass should be ashamed that it's not doing more to allow the game to at least be re-broadcast on BYUtv.
BYU should NEVER, EVER schedule a team that doesn't either guarantee that the game will be broadcast on one of the national channels listed above or that will grant BYUtv the rebroadcast rights if it is not.
I've been saying this for some time, but road games in independence are extremely valuable. They help BYU to get better home schedules and better schedules overall. BYU should have never agreed to play road games at Toledo, UMass, NIU, Georgia Southern, and Liberty. (although, Liberty is actually pouring resources into their program, so that '22 road game may actually turn into a decent game).
It's time for BYU to start to act like a big-time program.
