I fake it.

And usually it works OK.

I have an account where my mortgage is held. The mortgage payment is automatic. I deposit more into that account than it takes to pay the mortgage, so whatever accumulates is used as our vacation fund.

My wife has a savings account for Christmas. I have a savings account for everything else. We don't have a lot of "other" things we're saving for.

Yes the Disney Card is very niche, if you aren't into Disney parks it's almost not worth it at all.
