OP Cherry picked our first season with "limited exposure"
BYU has had a TON of games on broadcast networks like Fox and ABC. Honestly, this is the first season since the Oregon State game in 2011 in which I had a hard time finding or getting the right channel to watch BYU football.

On top of that, BYU is playing several games on ABC, FOX, and even some on NBC, as well as lots of games on ESPN1 compared to MWC games on ESPN2. Exposure has been much better for BYU having had 100 games in a row of national exposure with easy access channels.

I will say that with the early years of independence we played about 4 Th/F games during the season, that was much more rare with the MWC. Some may not care, but I like football to be on Saturdays, and was worried.

These last two season we have had 1 Friday before conference game, and a single Thur game to open the college football season, no compaints here as I am fine if BYU is a constant staple playing the Friday before conference, or opening the season a couple days early with the ability to begin Summer practice 2 days earlier.
