I don't think it's really all that close. P5s are getting $30M per school in TV
revenue. Most reports are putting BYU at $10-15M. Additionally, average payout for CFP is roughly $5M per P5 school, BYU gets zero.
BYU is sort of keeping up with Utah, because Utah falls on the low-end of the P5 spectrum, but last I heard, BYU is still running $10-12M behind Utah.
On the other end of the spectrum, last I heard, BYU is getting about double what the highest G5 is getting. It just shows how vast the gap is getting between P5 and G5.
