Yep and I intentionally gave $1K per hour... a little steep for watching a baby

come out.  And I gave that 2 hours.

I'm talking a zero complications normal run of the mill natural delivery.  I understand specialties etc.  I submit that in general for a general zero complications/interventions labor and delivery that around $5K is plenty of compensation for the specialists and training needed.

As a side note:  You can get everything all inclusive care delivery etc from a midwife for a flat prepaid 4-5K no insurance involved.  We are talking about all prenatals, post natal, etc.  They only cover zero complications/risks births.  If anything is abnormal things are rightly moved to a hospital under the care of physicians with the medical expertise needed.  However these midwives can take care of run of the mill hemoraging etc.

We used a pair of midwives on our births, one of them had worked in the NICU for 20 years and had a PhD in nursing.  Total confidence in her knowing when we need to be admitted to a hospital 5-7 minutes away.
