Most people consider the top 64 and in general you will have the vast majority of deserving teams get a chance.

With football, let's just take 4. Yep, just 4. Oh and let's take two from the same conference who have already played each other rather than giving another conference champion a chance. Makes no sense to me.

Basically what I am saying is I think the conference championship should be a defacto first round of the playoffs.

If you open it up to more teams I have no problem with wildcard teams making it and maybe the sec deserved those wildcard spots, but until you have enough spots, wildcards shouldn't take the spot of amotner.
