Huge changes over the past few years to things that we never thought we'd see happen. Missionary age change, temple changes, changes to the handbook. All good changes that enhance the experience of church membership for its members.

With all of those "revolutionary" changes, can't we get a little inspiration to change the rule at BYU that says a head coach has to be a member of the church?

We extend Sitake for one reason, and one reason only. According to Holmoe and, likely, the BOT...he is our only option. For that, we take a guy with a record that is 27-24 and extend him. Gary Crowton was 26-23. He got fired. Yes, Crowton's trend line was down. He had HC issues with players, but, that happened mostly in the first 3 years. By year 4, HC issues had improved.

But, is 4-8, 7-6, 7-6 a trend line for Kalani that is worth another four years? We're one miracle play at Tennessee from ending this season at 6-7. (BTW, yes, i assume we lose to Hawaii in Hawaii. Home game for them. They have a similar defense as SDSU and a QB ain't no redshirt freshman. Our players will be distracted by the beach, etc. and we'll get smoked. I mean, smoked. Not 13-3. It'll be 40sh to 10ish.)

The timing of the extension was THE WORST timing ever. If nothing else, I'd have gone with a one-year extension, i.e. 2021.

As it looks now, we'll likely go 5-7 next year and Sitaki will be sitting at 1 game above .500 after 5 years. this from an institution that has run about .600+ for 30 of the last 35 years.
