The only difference between Crowton and Sitake is wins vs FCS. BYU played zero D-1AA teams from 2001-2004.
Obviously there were some off the field issues with Crowton that helped do him in, but the trajectories are very, very similar. And BYU played a top 15 SOS in 2004 but didn't have an FCS opponent to make them bowl eligible.
