I would absolutely recommend BYU.
But allow them to choose for themselves where they go.
No school is a guarantee they will be a star or make it pro, but I can promise that BYU will give them a great education and a chance to be around tens of thousands of LDS students. I don’t think I would have remained active had I not gone to BYU. I also played a club sport there, no scholarship, but loved the opportunity to rep the Y.
I don’t see why any LDS parent who is a BYU fan would not endorse BYU for their child.
