independence has not really crippled basketball in the same way that it has football, IMO.

I think the trend of basketball right now is cyclical, and we're at the tail end of the disappointment that started with the hype of LP3. But given the transfers and recruits we've got during independence, coupled with the superior post-season format and the overall college basketball landscape, I'm very optimistic about future of BYU basketball.
