There's plenty of data out there to suggest injuries could be mitigated by
modernizing the S&C program, nutrition, recovery techniques, etc. More and more research suggests old school Olympic lifts are not the optimal way to train football players anymore.

Stanford about a decade ago cut down their injuries substantially by focusing way more on flexibility. Tom Brady has his TB12 method that focuses on pliability. Lebron James spends a lot of money to care for his body and is very open to new, research-based methods of maintenance and recovery. There are plenty of other examples out there. Jordan Peddleton and Brady Poppinga both have commented that BYU's S&C program is not in line with modern research.
