I used to experience a lot of hate for Utah, but that only hurt me and those close to me that I really care about. Plus, life's too short to let their success ruin my day. Sometimes others just catch all the breaks, like Utah getting into a conference and BYU being left out. It's like being past over for a promotion at work due to circumstance out of your control, and being bitter at the other person. Being vengeful won't change anything, it will almost always make things worse. My advice is to find joy and success in what we can control.

It's also important to give credit where credits due, even if Utah's success is in part circumstancial, they're still a pretty good team this year as much as it pains me to say it. After hearing Finebaum's apathetic and ill-informed comments on what felt to me like the state of Utah in general, I'd actually welcome seeing the Utes stick it to the SEC teams and disrupt the playoffs, but that's just me. 

I still love my Cougs and will raise my boys to (hopefully) love and cheer them on too. Go Cougs, go get another win tonight!
