but I don’t like the idea of reducing scholarships any more than it’s already been done. While parity is a desirable thing reducing opportunity for more kids isn’t something I think is worth it.

Maybe if those scholarships were transferred to other men’s sports I could get behind it a bit more, there’s other means sports where the number of scholarships is sorely lacking, but I would be opposed to anything that simply eliminated scholarships.
