My point: to LDS people, there are unique considerations. I am an LDS person. Those considerations would influence my advice to this hypothetical football playing son. People choose BYU over Stanford every year. Playing football adds another issue to be considered, but the question was what I would nudge toward. I would advise BYU because of unique cultural and family considerations. My second choice would be Stanford. After that, the others. If I and my son weren't LDS, why would BYU be a consideration?
