what has the Grimes/Roderick duo done that is any better than what Detmer did? Honestly the offense is still pretty much a steaming pile. Detmer may not have been ready to be an offensive coordinator but at least his offense had an actual style and where he was trying to take it was obvious. This thing we’re seeing from G&R has absolutely no identity and mostly looks like a hodge podge of plays randomly called despite the down and/or situation.

They have not been an improvement and in fact have not put a season together like Detmer did his first year. Granted Detmer had some NFL talent (thanks Bronco) but he used it properly and effectively that year although not explosively. But I’m not sure Taysom was the type of QB to put up some sorry of high flying passing stats so I think Detmer used him in a way that made him most effective.
