There’s actually a theory that Darth Sideous used The Force to kill Padme
If he figured how how to manipulate mitichlorians to keep people from dying, then the reverse should be true as well. Considering Darth Sideous arranged for Anakin’s mother to be kidnapped and killed by the sand people, and the smile Darth Sideous has as Anakin begins to process Padme’s death at the end of RotS, I think it is a plausible theory.
