But it's because he (in my opinion) is and was in the 25 to 32 level QB and teams don't want a non superstar player that comes with baggage. A great example is Antonio Brown or Josh Gordon. They come with baggage, but they have superstar talent so teams keep giving them chances. If it was someone like Geronimo Allison from the Packers he's gonna get cut and probably won't find a team. He's a bottom third of the league player so the baggage isn't worth it. So yes, Kaepernick isn't in the league cause of his protesting, but more significantly because he isn't talented enough. He's better than some of the guys you mentioned but not significantly better.
