Am I the only one that thinks staying in current role could be best thing for

his career? I mean, every game I watch, he gets far more color commentary talk time than any other player on the field because of his role and great team-first attitude. Maybe it's just pessimism or fear for him based on his history, but I don't see him ever being as loved and cherished by a fan base as he is now. Ever heard of another 3rd string QB who has his jersey on fans all over the country and in the stands? Yes, there is a chance that he gets his shot at QB1 and takes the league by storm. That happens to very few guys, even among those who get a shot. Everybody else gets constatly criticized and berated for not being a generational talent. And then there's the much more likely scenario that he gets a shot and either doesn't do well or all the additional snaps end his career because of injury.

What if he could actually go down in history as one of, if not the most versatile, exciting, likeable players in NFL history. His next contract will likely set him up financially for life, so take that part out of the equation. As a BYU fan, and alum of the same ward and high school as Taysom, I can't get enough of the gushing from announcers and writers. So happy for him. I'd hate to see it all end if he got a shot at QB1 and was just....ok...and washed out of the league as his athleticism will certainly begin to decline in the next few years.
