I'll also add that you need to find what you enjoy. For me, the only way I really enjoy working out is when I've signed
up for a race/event. For some reason, knowing I will be at a start line and that I paid for entry, is really motivating. It makes the training fun and a great stress relief. If you are having trouble being motivated, try signing up for something. Go one step further and tell people you are doing the race, or have others sign up with you.
