Rose never bet on his own team, and while I understand he broke the rules it isn't like he was living in the modern
day where he could get all sorts of instant analytics, text messages about player's health, etc.
The guy was similar to a MJ or Barkely...loved his booze, women, and gambling.
I find no fault in what he did, especially compared to what is happening in baseball after he left the game.
