Because some of us feel like we'd be more attractive as a 10-2, 11-1
program with a possible NY6 trip under our belt, instead of a 4-7, 7-6 program who plays a top heavy P5 and then is beat up for the G5 portion of the schedule and loses those games.
And for those that say we could never make a NY6 before, well, Utah and TCU aren't in our way anymore. The odds of us getting that slot are much, much higher in 2020, then they were in 2010.
We are the same institution with or without INDY, we aren't going to get overlooked because we are G5 and not INDY. Crud, we have proved we can be INDY for 10 years now.
