Recruiting is a battle. Of course each kid will make his own choice, but if you are a program that fails to recognize it’s a battle you will lose the battle. Let’s imagine if the shoe was on the other foot. One of Kyle Whittingham‘s assistant coaches has a son committed to Utah and he poses for pictures in a BYU uniform in this manner. Would Kyle sit idly by allowing that kind of public relations image? I just don’t see it happening because KW and Utah fights while Kalani and BYU plays nice both in public and behind the scenes. Utah refers to Byu as the team down south while Byu effuses only praise for Utah.
