I'd bet a bunch of guys were already going to be done with football anyway. Now they're simply trying to give it one last shot and not being on scholarship or landing somewhere might have happened anyway. Take Mique Juarez and Mufi Hunt walking on at Utah. Their football careers are all but over. Them leaving to walk on at Utah, at home for Hunt, and adding to those stats is pretty meaningless.
And that's just the physical side. Not including academics. I mean right now Mounga is counting as a stat there but it has nothing to do with the transfer portal itself.
