As for myself, I lifted at the gym for four years, was maxing 260 on the bench
press and still only weighed 175 at 6' 3" and looked like a string bean and still got made fun of for being too skinny by everyone I know. Granted I did gain weight at the gym and went from weighing 145 lbs to 175lbs, but because of how underweight I started off at, it didn't make much of a difference. My whole family is this way, they can't gain weight for the life of them. I personally could eat at Chuck A Rama every meal for a year and I'd stay at the same weight. I've learned to actually appreciate this as a lot of people my age have to now carefully watch what they eat and most have dad bods, while I'm still thin as a rail and can eat whatever I want.
