He's now #3 all-time in 3-point shots attempted, but nowhere near the top 50 in career 3-point %. That is especially problematic this year, when there are literally 8 players on the roster shooting over 40% from 3. TJ is shooting 34%, but he's taken more 3s than anyone on the team. That's terrible shot selection. He's much more valuable breaking down the defense off the dribble (a rare skill on this roster) and dishing the ball. He has no business cranking up more than five 3-point attempts a game with the roster of great shooters who surround him. That hurts the team.
Even Tavernari, who was widely ridiculed as a chucker, shot 38% from 3 for his career. And Seljaas, who is constantly getting heat for his 3-point shooting, has shot 40% for his career (top 10 all-time).
