Continue with Vanguard mutual funds or go back to American Funds?

I got some bad advice about moving our Roth's to "less expensive" self managed funds at Vanguard. Just looking at some of the better performing funds with AF, I'm considering moving our Roth IRAs back to AF.

Thoughts?

Yeah but not by the same person everyday. Especially over the long term. But please keep stock picking and trading.
