doing something. I've read 7 habits like so many times, and it's so crazy how I don't actually apply it, they are hard. Mission statements I think are popular with those people who read it, and it has become one of those stupid institutional imperatives (Let's do this cuz everyone else is). There was a book called "Start With Why" that I read last year and it changed things a bit for me.
I have a very simple why I am doing my own business. My mission is to achieve my why and anytime I get away from that I find myself kind of hating work, and spending more time on CB (So you can know that I'm not plugged into my mission when I'm not plugged into my why to the degree I'm on CB, haha)
If you don't have a why for your job, you should try to find it. What do you love about it? Why are you naturally a good fit for it? Why have you spent so much time, money and training to get good at it? Go deep and you might find a deeper reason why you are there and where you are going. It should be simple.
If you don't get a why after trying really hard, then find something else, and watch how amazing life can be when you are plugged into a why.
