When I talk about point #6, I am talking about China and the US. Okay, the Chinese have a population that is
still 2/3 3rd world. I can excuse that. Most of the time.

But when I was home at Christmas, it became quite obvious to me that if a similar outbreak happened in the US, we would all die. Because I had to scold my daughter who had three sick kids when she arrived in Utah, and FOUR when she left, and everyone in that house (including the adults) all ended up having a 24 hour stomach bug.

All because my daughter can't teach her kids to cover their stinking mouths, grab a kleenex when they are leaking from the nose, and wash their hands.

Needless to say, there was a little drama over this, I don't mind grabbing a kleenex for the 2-3 year old age grandkids, especially not for the <2 kids, but c'mon, a 5 year old NEEDS to know they cover their mouth, and blow their nose. Or THEY should be quarantined until they can.

Think about it, my parents (78 and 84) and my MIL (83) were all there too. What freakin chance to these geriatrics have against the flu or that stomach bug, let alone the nasty cold my grandson had, if the kids and their parents aren't making any effort to deal with it.

But the problem isn't limited to my daughter, and it seems all of genX and their millenial married friends all skipped the message on teaching kids about personal hygiene and not getting everyone else sick. I attended church two weeks, and it was like a playground for coughing kids and booger monsters. Everyone is sick, so lets all just go and ignore it.

So, that's why I say in a state where 2.5 million of the 4 million population is KIDS, what chance would Utah have had if Covid-19 broke out there instead of China...
