yeah, ick, I wouldn't ever use an Airbnb in China. Even when the Chinese vacate a rental apartment, they simply
take what they want and leave the rest for the landlord to clear out (and often, the landlord tells the next tenant, if you want the apartment, you clean it).
They don't think of Airbnb the way we do. Even when they use them overseas. They think they can take towels, if they break something it's no problem.
In China, they don't bother to clean between customers in some cases. I've read lots of complaints about this on Chinese social media. They consider them the new version of 'slum lords', who purchase apts and then use them for Airbnb, but never even visit them, or check if the people they hire actually clean.
