Compared to most of the movies I loved as a kid
Willow has actually stood the test of time better than most. I was at least able to finish watching it, unlike:
- Gremlins
- Short Circuit (any of them)
- Labarinth
- The NeverEnding story
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit
- Splash
- Harry and the Hendersons
I mean, sure, its not nearly as good as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters (only 1, sequels were 'meh'), but it was at least watchable. And, like others have said, it has some great one-liners: "Willow, you Iii-ii-diot."
