Honestly, I’d think of AP classes not necessarily as getting out of college credits (he might have to retake it anyways, at least in my case. I retook Calc post mission and I’m glad I did) but think of them as the equivalent of BYU football scheduling P5s: there is some risk there, but if you win it looks that much more impressive. It signals to the university that he can handle tough classes and believe me there are some doozies at BYU.
