We also did the 2 day, stayed in Saint Malo, a cool walled city near St Michele
We hit Giverny (Monet's garden) and Dinan (beautiful little french village) on the swing as well.
Definitely don't miss Pointe-du-hoc on the d-day beaches where the marines climbed the cliffs. They have left the craters and bunkers for people to climb through.
