I tried to teach him to go down stairs backwards on his hands and knees(like other kids), but no. He’d approach the first step atop a flight of stairs and put his foot forward as if he walking across a flat surface. I was always there to catch him.
He’d pull the same dumb stunt at church by casually assuming he could walk off the stage onto the gym floor below—as if the whole area was a flat surface. Again, I was always there to rescue him from himself.
