he was 14 or 15 and woke up at 5am for seminary. he said that when he woke up he was blind, his eyes were open but just didn't work. it wasn't totally dark in the house as dawn was close so it wasn't that.

but he tried to grope his way from his bedroom to ours and the top of the staircase is opposite the master bedroom door. he turned the wrong way and just stepped off the end of the stairway. proceeded to fall down 5 or 6 stairs and put a big hole in the dry way on his way down.

luckily not hurt badly just some bruises. his eyesight came back soon and he's never reported another episode.
