Do you feel that the football coach is being paid his market value? Did Pope accept BYU's proposal to become the HC? I'm sure that money was discussed.

Now, you may disagree with the hiring of unproven coaches, or that BYU should have paid Bronco more to stay, but that's not what you wrote. BYU isn't in the coach arms race like the Michigans, or even like uu (Whitt may be worth the money spent, but is coach Kry?). The vast majority of schools are in debt.... yet, pay their coaches a lot. BYU isn't getting P5 money from TV contracts, so they aren't in the same position as LSU, ASU or even UVA.
