The clock is ticking and unless guys are very motivated to stick around (and even then, they often don’t if they can play in the NBA; see the last two national champs Virginia and Villanova), if they can get paid they’re off to the pros. Two prime years out the window = more likely to leave early, sadly even to Europe or fringe. Mika being the most obvious example.
