I shouldn't have to pay $130 for a single general admission ticket to watch the first game that involves my team. The WCC tournament format and logistics discourage attendance.
I say go back to a format that has the quarterfinals on Thursday and the championship game on Saturday...in a bigger venue that has affordable seating options for students and families. You wil still have expensive seats in a lower bowl.
But, whether the conference makes more money or not is irrelevant...it's better to have more attendance than less, especially if you're trying to grow fan interest in the conference. It's also a shame that there is such a big break between the Saturday quarterfinals and the Monday semifinals. I doubt many Gonzaga or BYU fans attend the Saturday night games. Big missed opportunity for the schools and their fan bases to interact.
