They had two of their biggest wins last year, Boise State and Utah State, when the team was injured and practically limping. The difference: the team showed up to those games motivated and with an intensity we didn’t see much of the year.
On the contrary, they were pretty well blasted by the Aztecs and Rainbow Warriors with the healthiest roster they’d had since game 3. The depth has stood up surprisingly well when the entire team and staff shows up with it. They just need the drive and leadership to step up. Personally, I think the Utah game is a good litmus test. I can also see how a Utah fan would think differently. You’re not a fan of BYU and probably hope we’ll fail. As our rival, that’s fine. But no need to pretend you’re coming at this without a bias.
