Totally changed how I view weight loss. Basically, manage insulin and blood sugar spikes by avoiding refined carbs, never snacking, and introduce more fasting into your life. According to the book, by reducing to 1500 calories, your greatly reducing how much your metabolism is burning. By eating normal but having a 24 hour fast or more a couple times a week you basically reset it to its natural state. Check out the book, it’s a paradigm shift for sure!
