sure that he knows who will be his roommates. BYU approved housing isn't what it used to be. Anyone can live there as long as they sign an agreement that they will live the honor code. They don't have to be attending BYU. They don't even have to be in college. They can just say they will attend institute and they can get a contract.
We had a 40 year old man rent one room in a 4 bedroom apartment in our ward. He was in some weird situation where he couldn't find any other place to live and only needed something temporarily. The guys in his apartment would call him Pops. He would make lunches for the guys to take to campus. Nothing bad happened but it was pretty strange.
I just put this out there because I had many parents calling me wondering why their child's roommates were causing so many problems. They thought BYU approved housing meant BYU students. It doesn't. I would say about 50% of our ward were BYU students. Then varying degrees from UVU, cosmetology school, dental hygiene school, several just working jobs.
