In the absence of actual counts, its not a bad way to judge the
effect of the virus on the economy, but to verify deaths?
It's another indicator, for sure. But you would have to filter it against other data sources that can show the number of migrant workers, etc. Find ways to validate the data and what it really means.
Possible sources to determine number of deaths,
the urns people talk about,
any sort of subscription based service,
cell phone gps patterns, focusing on hospital, and morgue, funerary related businesses.
