At first the feds set the rate at 0.5% and all the small banks said they wouldn’t do it so they compromised and moved it up to 1%. We’ll see if that was enough to convince some of them. This is the whole reason why there are no banks that will do the loan without an existing relationship at least to start off. They will likely allow non-existing costumers after the initial wave is funded.
